CCIE R&S Certification:

Introduction

CCIE certification in Routing and Switching technologies is an expert level certification preparing individuals for handling advanced tasks and procedures of a network. CCIE R&S V5 is also known as the most demanded and desired IT certifications of the world.

Training on CCIE R&S V5 course offered by IPST includes in-depth and hands on training on various course concepts making applicants job ready. CCIE R&S written exam is mandatory for candidates who wish to appear for CCIE R&S lab exam in near future. Applicants are expected to have basic to intermediate level of knowledge and skills in Routing and Switching technologies to be able to understand and grasp advanced level concepts of the course.

Course Contents

Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (R&S) : 400-101

1. Understand, configure and troubleshoot Switching of concepts like CAM, TCAM, VLANS.VTP (V1, V2,V3), PVST+, RPVST+, MST, PRIVATE VLANS, IGMP (V1,V2,V3), PPP, PPPOE, CHAP, and PAP.

2. Understand, configure and troubleshoot Routing concepts like IP Addressing, VLSM, Redistribution, Filtering, PBR, Administrative Distance, Automatic and Manual Summarization, and BDF.

3. Understand, configure and troubleshoot EIRGP Concepts for IPV4 and IPV6 including Configuration, Summarization, EIGRP leak maps, Load Balancing, Metric Tweaking (wide and classic both).

4. Understand, configure and troubleshoot OSPF concepts like OSPF (v2 and v3), multi Area, LSA (1,2,3,4,5,7,9) and Route type (n1,n2,e1,e2).

5. Understand, configure and troubleshoot RIP concepts including RIP Ver2, Summarizations, redistribution and authentication.

6. Understand, configure and troubleshoot VPN,  MPLS and DMVPN technologies like IDP, VRF, PE=CE Connectivity with different Routing protocols, LFIB, L3 VPN, DMVpn, NHRP with IPSec, QoS profile and pre-classify.

7. Understand, configure and troubleshoot BGP including Address Family, Path Attributes, Routes-Maps, Filtering, EBGP, IBGP, Route-Reflector, and Confederation.

8. Understand, configure and troubleshoot Security concepts like ACL, Dynamic, Standard and Extended, Port- Security, DHCP snooping, Private – VLAN, Source-Guard, AAA, and SNMP.

9. Understand, configure and troubleshoot IP Services: FTP, TFTP, HTTP, Telnet, SNMP (V2 and V3), syslog, Timestamping, HSRP, GLBP, VRRP, NTP and NAT.

10. Understand, configure and troubleshoot Multicasting for IPV4 and IPV6: PIM spares and Dense, RP (Static, auto, and BSR), SSM, MSDP, RPF failure, and SA Filter.

11. Understand, configure and troubleshoot GOS, COS, DSCP Mapping, IP Precedence, TOS and DSCP, Classification, Marking, Shaping, Policing, WRED, and Only at Router.
